ADVICE AFTER EXTRACTIONS

Do not drink anything alcoholic for several
hours.

Avoid strenuous exercise.

Do not rinse for the next twelve hours.
-
Do not eat or drink anything very hot or cold.
IF EXCESSIVE BLEEDING OCCURS
-
Carry out the instructions above making certain
to avoid severe rinsing which will prevent blood clotting in the socket.

Use a clean cotton handkerchief, roll into a
tight firm pad.
-
Place the pad across the bleeding socket and
bite firmly for ten to fifteen minutes.
-
Inspect the socket and replace with another one if
bleeding still occurs from the socket after fifteen minutes.
-
If your efforts are unsuccessful after an hour or two,
contact your dentist.
